We believe being educated is more important than being right. We explore perspectives other than our own in order to gain new information and make informed decisions about our beliefs and opinions, even if it means letting go of what we thought we knew.
We believe listening is the key to learning. Listening to experiences that contradict our own teaches us to hold differing ideas with ease.
We believe history matters – History has a direct effect on the present. You have to take your shoes off at the airport because of decisions made by a few people in 2001. Football players watch recordings of their games to look for mistakes they can correct in the next game. History matters. Learning from the past is how we create a better future.

Donna Trumbo
Executive Producer, Director ABC Equity
Recently nominated as one of Sacramento’s most influential people surrounding AAPI inclusion, Donna Trumbo is one of the most dedicated social justice advocates. Formerly a newscaster for ABC and then Church Director, Administrator, and Executive Pastor over the years, Donna now devotes her time to addressing diversity and inclusion in communities.
She is part of AB&C Equity Consultants, a non-profit dedicated to bringing racial healing and understanding through courageous conversations, education, symposiums, and special events. Learn more here!
Stacie Walton, MD
Pediatrician and founder of Diversity Doctor
Recently retired from Kaiser Permanente, as a clinical Pediatrician serving in the roles of both Diversity Champion and Communication Consultant, Stacie L Walton MD, MPH has been a medical consultant for healthcare providers and institutions for over 25 years.

Savannah Carreño
Founder of Please Elaborate
Savannah Carreño is the founder of Please Elaborate (PE). She received her BA in international humanitarian affairs where she researched the factors that inhibit human rights. Savannah received her Master’s in Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary where she studied religion and culture. She currently researches Western religion’s influence on culture and human rights. She’s dedicated to teaching others how to have effective dialogue. And how to better understand the stories that contradict our own.
